How do you define women's fiction?
To quote the Women's Fiction Writers Association, "what binds us together is the focus on the main character's emotional journey." We'd like to add that (at 2 Elizabeths) we love to read and publish work featuring a strong female lead. It's important that such a character exhibits traits like growth, kindness, and intelligence within the frame of the story or poem.
Must women's fiction be written by a woman?
Absolutely not. Anyone can write and submit quality women's fiction.
What type of romance do you seek?
We aim to publish a wide variety of subgenres of romance. Send us your historical, sports, contemporary, suspense, paranormal, or any other subgenre you enjoy writing. Two things are important to us here: 1 - We intend to publish an array of work, expanding the romance reader's repertoire. 2 - As per the Romance Writers of America, romance should include a central love story and an emotionally optimistic or satisfying conclusion.
